2022 Third Saturday Sampler
Third Saturday Sampler begins in January of each year. Come to Quilter's Journey on the Third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m., beginning in January. Terrie will give a demo of the block and any tips to make your block. Take it home, make your block, and bring it with you on the next Third Saturday at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. Stay for the demo, show your block, and receive your next block free! You must be here on the Third Saturday with your completed block in order to receive your next block free. If you come every month with your completed block, you will have 12 quilt blocks for a quilt and you only paid $5 for them! If you have to miss a month, come by the shop after the Third Saturday and purchase your block. If you make your block before the next Third Saturday, you can get right back on track.
The 2022 Third Saturday Quilt will be using the Star 60 tool by Studio 180 Design. We will use the Star 60 tool to make all of the blocks in 2022. All the blocks will be Hexagons. Don't let that scare you! The Star 60 tool will make them easy to do. The Star 60 tool may be purchased at Quilters Journey. You will also need to purchase Technique Sheets throughout the year. There will be a wide variety of blocks. This is a Sampler Quilt and you will have several "Samples" of what you can make with the Star 60 tool. All the blocks will be 12" finished (12 1/2" unfinished). I hope you will enjoy the blocks we make this year.
There are also "Bonus" quilts to make in 2022. We will be making a few other quilts using the star 60 tool. The blocks will go along with the blocks you are making for the Third Saturday Sampler Quilt.
